How To Install A Shower Pan Over A Wooden Floor

For the floor of your shower or shower pan there are two basic options.

Paint over the entire pan including corners nooks and the perimeter with a liquid waterproofing product. Then attach the pan to the surrounding studs using screws and washers that are overlapping the lip of the pan. What do you do.
